Issue Position: Lack of a Quality Education

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2012
Issues: K-12 Education

Education is the foundation of any great society (It is the brain). The Constitution states that educating our children is the sole responsibility of each individual state. The federal government should supply states with adequate resources directly allocated to assist with nurturing and developing children's young minds.

A standardized curriculum should be established, enforced with programs that address the learning curve in local school districts. Each child should have the opportunity to receive a quality education without fear of having an inferior education because of the financial status of their district. An "Incentives Program" needs to be set-up for our teachers to reward excellence in education and the hard work of instructors. Programs should encourage diversity in career paths that introduce children to career options at an early age to address the brain drain in our country, producing more engineers, doctors, scientist and productive citizen. The security of our future rests in the hands of the well educate youth of today.
